QUT Improving Health Outcomes for People researcher Dr Elke Hacker is conducting a project on UV devices and their effectiveness on sun protective behaviour. These include UV SPOTS and personalised wearable weather stations.
What’s involved?
Dr Hacker is looking for males and females between the ages of 18 and 30 to record their sun exposure in a Smartphone app for 7 days, test the UV SPOTS in addition to a wearable weather station, and complete two 30 minute focus groups at QUT Kelvin Grove before and after using the devices. Participants will also be asked to complete two online surveys. Participants must own an iPhone or android smartphone to access the apps. Participation will be during October/November 2016.
